Job Description:
- The primary purpose of the maintenance technician is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality.
- Complies with applicable regulations and the department's safety program.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a timely, complete, and cost-effective manner.
- Perform duties to maintain production machines and other facility equipment.
- Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
- Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
- Identifies and recommends corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
- Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
- Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
- Maintain building safety and appearance including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping and plumbing.
- Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience in fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Any equivalent of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
- Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair
- Must have a good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Knowledge and experience with PLCs, drives are preferred.
- Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
- Forklift experience is required; training will be provided.

Education:
- High school diploma/ GED preferred but not required.
- Certifications preferred but not required.
