Entry-Level Maintenance Technician

**Pontiac, MI

Direct Hire

Full-Time Night Shift**

**Schedule: **Sunday - Thursday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

A growing manufacturing company in Pontiac is seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join its team. Responsibilities

  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures to complete daily assignments accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions.
  • Perform repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility structures using hand and power tools.
  • Assist with electrical, mechanical, piping, and equipment installations and repairs.
  • Complete general facility maintenance, including painting and minor building repairs.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and maintain company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance plans.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Participate in training programs and apply learned skills on the job.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Equipment & Systems

Technicians will work around and assist in maintaining:

  • FANUC Robots
  • Industrial Furnaces
  • Gauge Machines
  • Paint Lines
  • Manufacturing Equipment

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic measuring devices.
  • Strong attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
  • Manufacturing or maintenance experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
