Looking for a part-time security position that gets you out of the house, keeps you engaged, and gives you the opportunity to actually interact with people?

KRE Security is looking for a confident, professional, and people-friendly Security Officer for a seasonal assignment at a local convenience store.
This isn't a position where you can simply stand in the corner and hope nobody notices you. You'll be interacting with customers, employees, and the public throughout your shift — so you need to be comfortable speaking with people, setting boundaries, and confidently standing your ground when necessary.
Your Schedule
Friday & Saturday Nights
9:00 PM – 1:00 AM
This is a seasonal position, but that doesn't necessarily mean your hours have to end when this client's seasonal need does.
During periods when this particular client doesn't require coverage, additional hours may be available at other KRE client locations, giving you the opportunity to pick up more work and stay active with the KRE team.
What You'll Be Doing
Your primary responsibility is to provide a visible, professional security presence while helping maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and the property.
Depending on the assignment, you may:
- Maintain a visible security presence at the location.
- Interact frequently and professionally with customers and employees.
- Monitor activity and identify situations that may require attention.
- Address minor issues before they become bigger problems.
- Enforce site rules and security expectations professionally and confidently.
- Respond appropriately to disturbances or concerning behavior.
- Communicate with KRE and client representatives when situations arise.
- Complete required reports and documentation.
- Contact emergency services when appropriate.
- Follow KRE procedures and client post orders.
We're Looking for Someone Who...
Can talk to people. A lot.
You should be comfortable greeting people, answering questions, communicating expectations, and having conversations throughout your shift.
Can stand firm.
Being friendly doesn't mean being a pushover. You need to be comfortable professionally telling someone "No," "You can't do that," or "You need to leave" when the situation and your post orders require it — while remaining calm, respectful, and professional.
Can stay calm when things get interesting.
Security isn't always predictable. We need someone who can think clearly, communicate effectively, and avoid making a situation worse.
Shows up.
