Job DescriptionDescriptionMetropolitan Companies is looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team! The Assistant Superintendent will help manage the schedule and activities of the project for Multi-Family Apartment complexes in Haverford Square by Metropolitan under the direction of the Construction Superintendent. Key Responsibilities• Leading the on-site construction team and overseeing all construction activities
• Hosting and attending office and on-site construction meetings
• Managing and updating the project timeline to ensure contractual deadlines are met
• Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness
• Ensuring quality standards are met
• Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs
• Take meeting minutes, upload photographs and update project schedules
• Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals
• Maintain client satisfaction
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseCompetencies:
• Construction knowledge and ability to read blueprints
• Ability to lead a team of subcontractors and field carpenters
• Proficiency with taking and uploading digital photographs
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Able to follow and understand Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Requirements:
• 1-3 years’ experience in construction
• Valid Driver’s License
Preferred:
• Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent
• OSHA 10 training
• Proficiency in Procore or similar software
