The Maintenance Service Technician performs routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and installations on Generac and Kohler automatic standby generator systems. Working independently and part of a team, the technician travels to job sites in a company vehicle, ensuring safety compliance and effective communication with customers. This role requires strong technical skills in generator system maintenance, engine repair, and automotive mechanics, alongside thorough documentation and daily reporting of work progress.
Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance and repair on generator and engine systems
- Travel independently to various job sites using a company vehicle
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Interact professionally with customers during service calls
- Perform thorough testing and inspections of equipment
- Document service activities and progress daily
- Assist in installation projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in maintenance service
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience with generator system maintenance
- Knowledge of small engine repair and automotive mechanics
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Ability to complete technical documentation accurately
- Commitment to safety compliance and time management
- Pass a basic written exam and hands-on exam
- Pass a background check and drug test
