BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a multifamily community in Aurora, IL 60504. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in delivering quality work, providing exceptional resident service, and maintaining a well-kept apartment community.
Position: Apartment Maintenance Technician
Location: Aurora, IL 60504
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Position Overview
The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, assisting with apartment turns, and ensuring the overall appearance and functionality of the community. The ideal candidate will have previous apartment maintenance experience and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of maintenance-related issues independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests and maintenance work orders in a timely manner
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property
- Conduct basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair household appliances
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and minor electrical repairs
- Complete carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, and general upkeep tasks
- Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparations
- Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the community
- Follow all company and property safety procedures
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance experience required
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance functions
- Experience with plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, appliance repair, drywall, and carpentry
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation
- Own tools required
