Job DescriptionMaintenance Technician Location: Grandville, MI Shift: 2nd Shift | Flexible Schedule Between 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM (Monday-Friday) Pay: Starting at $25/hr, depending on experience Overtime: May be required as needed Job Summary Are you a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial equipment? We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Grandville, MI. In this hands-on role, you'll perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment while helping ensure safe and efficient plant operations. What You'll Be Doing As a Maintenance Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment: Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
- Installing and maintaining machinery: Dismantle, assemble, install, and maintain industrial equipment and production machinery.
- Performing electrical work: Troubleshoot and wire 120V, 220V, and 480V circuits, control panels, and related systems.
- Reading technical documentation: Interpret electrical prints, schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals to facilitate repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
- Performing welding and fabrication: Complete MIG and stick welding repairs on steel up to 1" thick as needed.
- Moving and positioning equipment: Safely rig and move machinery weighing up to 20 tons using lift trucks, overhead cranes, and other rigging equipment.
- Supporting production teams: Assist machine operators in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining documentation: Accurately document repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities to comply with OSHA, ISO, and company standards.
- Supporting facility maintenance: Assist with general facility upkeep, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial services, landscaping, trash removal, parking lot maintenance, and snow removal as needed.
- Promoting workplace safety: Follow company policies and actively support a safe work environment.

- Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
- Comfortable working in a diverse and inclusive team environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Skills & Expertise:
- Electrical Maintenance: Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems, including 120V, 220V, and 480V circuits.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of mechanical systems, industrial machinery, gears, drives, and power transmission equipment.
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems: Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic components and controls.
- Rigging & Material Handling: Experience moving and positioning heavy equipment using cranes, forklifts, and rigging methods.
- Gear Systems: Working knowledge of large gears, helical gears, and worm drives.
- Welding & Fabrication: Skilled in MIG and stick welding techniques.
- Preventative Maintenance: Experience developing and completing preventative maintenance programs.
- Technical Documentation: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical prints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
