Elementary Site Director- Before and After School Care 25/26 school year

Location: AXIS International Academy - Fort Collins, Co. 80525/80526

In this exciting role, you'll be trained and have the chance to do the following:

  • Direct the daily operations of the preschool program in support of policies and procedures
  • Motivate, train, develop and oversee all on-site staff
  • Organize, evaluate, and oversee the site to create a fun and engaging learning environment
  • Foster relationships by creating open and ongoing communication with parents and site administration
  • Provide a caring family-oriented environment where positive child/adult relationships are developed
  • Provide guidance and feedback to help team members strengthen knowledge and skills to accomplish individual and team goals
  • Maintain CO State child-care licensure compliance at the designated site.

Schedule

This position will be 30 plus hours per week. Care will be held Monday through Friday mornings (6:15-8:00am) and afternoons (2:45-6:00pm). The remainder of hours will be filled in between sessions to complete any additional work.

Experience/Qualifications (1 or more of the following:)

  1. Possess a current professional teaching license issued by the Colorado Department of Education with an endorsement in the area of Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Early Childhood Special Education Specialist; or,
  1. Possess a current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level II or higher in Version 3.0 as determined by the Department; or,
  1. Current certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in: Center-Based, Preschool; Center-Based, Infant-Toddler; or Family Child Care; or other Department-approved credential; or,
  1. Two (2) years and nine (9) months (5,005 hours) of satisfactory experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children less than eight (8) years of age who are not related to the individual, and at least two (2) three (3)-semester credit hour courses from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, and one (1) of the courses must be either.
