Position Summary:
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing commercial facilities and equipment. This hands-on position requires a versatile skill set and the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve a variety of maintenance issues across multiple trades.
The ideal candidate has experience in general building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and repair work, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues
- Perform electrical repairs and preventive maintenance
- Complete plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks
- Service and maintain HVAC equipment and systems
- Perform general carpentry and building repairs as needed
- Provide handyman services, including minor repairs and installations
- Ensure facilities and equipment comply with all applicable safety standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests when required
Qualifications:
- Experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or a related field
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials as required
Work Enviroment:
Facility Maintenance Technicians work in a variety of commercial settings, including office buildings, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail locations, and other business environments.
This role may require:
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Working at heights or in confined spaces
- Lifting and transporting tools, equipment, and materials
- On-call, evening, weekend, or emergency-response work as needed
