We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Verona and help keep our beautiful facility running flawlessly.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and physical upkeep of our building and grounds. From managing daily work orders to executing preventative maintenance, you will be the go-to person for keeping our community in excellent shape.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical skillset, a proactive mindset, and genuinely enjoys interacting with seniors and working in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Upkeep: Perform routine facility repairs and maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.

  • HVAC & Systems: Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing basic maintenance on building mechanical systems (HVAC, lighting, security, etc.).

  • Work Orders: Promptly respond to and resolve daily maintenance requests from residents and department heads with a high level of customer service.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute the community’s preventative maintenance schedule to ensure long-term building safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Grounds & Safety: Assist with ensuring walkways, common areas, and exteriors remain safe and free of hazards; participate in emergency preparedness or inclement weather protocols as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of general maintenance experience, preferably in a senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or residential property management setting.

  • Broad knowledge of building trades (basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry).

  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for long periods.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills—compassion and patience when interacting with our senior residents is a must.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

Schedule & Availability

  • Full-time schedule.

  • Must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours or weekend maintenance emergencies.
