Position Summary
The Maintenance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and physical upkeep of our building and grounds. From managing daily work orders to executing preventative maintenance, you will be the go-to person for keeping our community in excellent shape.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical skillset, a proactive mindset, and genuinely enjoys interacting with seniors and working in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities

Facility Upkeep: Perform routine facility repairs and maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.

HVAC & Systems: Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing basic maintenance on building mechanical systems (HVAC, lighting, security, etc.).

Work Orders: Promptly respond to and resolve daily maintenance requests from residents and department heads with a high level of customer service.

Preventative Maintenance: Execute the community’s preventative maintenance schedule to ensure long-term building safety and regulatory compliance.

Grounds & Safety: Assist with ensuring walkways, common areas, and exteriors remain safe and free of hazards; participate in emergency preparedness or inclement weather protocols as needed.
Qualifications

2+ years of general maintenance experience, preferably in a senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or residential property management setting.

Broad knowledge of building trades (basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry).

Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for long periods.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Exceptional interpersonal skills—compassion and patience when interacting with our senior residents is a must.

Valid driver’s license required.
Schedule & Availability

Full-time schedule.

Must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours or weekend maintenance emergencies.
