Experience Required: Seasoned Property Management Leadership Experience

We are seeking a highly experienced and seasoned Community Manager to take the lead at a large B-class multifamily community in Point Loma.


This is not an entry-level management opportunity. We are looking for someone who truly understands the complexities of property management, knows how to manage a high-volume community, and is confident stepping into challenging situations and taking ownership.


The ideal candidate is proactive, decisive, organized, financially savvy, and comfortable when problems arise. You should be able to lead a team, manage resident concerns, oversee property operations, understand financial performance, and keep the community moving forward without needing constant direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of a large multifamily community
  • Lead, coach, and hold onsite team members accountable
  • Manage a high volume of resident relations, escalations, and complex situations
  • Monitor occupancy, leasing performance, renewals, delinquencies, and resident retention
  • Oversee budgets, expenses, financial reporting, and property performance
  • Coordinate closely with maintenance leadership, vendors, and contractors
  • Ensure property standards, inspections, compliance, and operational procedures are consistently maintained
  • Identify problems quickly and implement solutions without waiting to be directed
  • Communicate effectively with ownership, regional leadership, residents, vendors, and onsite staff
  • Create structure and accountability within a large and fast-moving community

What We’re Looking For

  • Several years of Community Manager / Property Manager experience required
  • Experience managing a large, complex multifamily property strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of multifamily property operations and financials
  • Proven experience leading and developing onsite teams
  • Excellent resident relations and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
  • Comfortable handling difficult situations and making independent decisions
  • Experience with budgets, reporting, delinquency, renewals, leasing performance, and vendor management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Strong leadership presence with a hands-on management style

Preferred Experience

  • MRI experience is a plus
  • Experience with large B-class communities
  • Experience managing communities with a significant resident population or large onsite staff
