Simulator Technician III is a senior-level technical expert responsible for the advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment of the AH-64E Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) and associated Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS). This role ensures that the LCT remains in a Fully Mission Capable (FMC) condition to provide a highly realistic, safe, and cost-effective virtual flight training environment for Apache attack helicopter crews. This position supports Delaware Resource Group LLC operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair complex hardware, software, network, and visual display system malfunctions within the AH-64E LCT cockpit replica and instructor-operator (I/O) stations.
• Perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on the simulator's mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic motion systems in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and commercial best practices.
• Calibrate, align, and adjust virtual visual systems, flight controls, and thumb force controllers to ensure exact replication of the AH-64E aircraft environment.
• Support the networking of multiple LCTs and associated training devices to facilitate collective, multi-ship training scenarios.
• Implement and manage a Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to track persistent issues, analyze failure trends, and execute long-term corrective solutions.
• Accurately document all maintenance actions, repairs, and supply requests in the designated Information System Tool Suite (ISTS) or computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Manage spares, tools, and Foreign Government Furnished Property (GFP), ensuring adequate stock levels to minimize simulator downtime.
• Coordinate directly with instructors and operators to deconflict maintenance schedules with training operations and resolve technical issues rapidly during live training scenarios.
• Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and procedural oversight to junior technicians (Level I and II).
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with strict safety protocols, and report any facility environmental issues that could cause Non-Fair Wear and Tear (NFWT) to the simulator equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Aviation Technology, or a related technical discipline is highly preferred.
• Equivalent Alternative: Completion of a formal military electronic/avionics technical school or specialized civilian technical training program can be substituted for a degree.
• 5 to 8+ years of progressive experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronic systems, computers, and computer networks.
• 3+ years of direct experience maintaining military flight simulators or high-fidelity commercial aviation training devices (preference given to specific AH-64D/E LCT or rotary-wing simulator experience).
• Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Prior experience acting in a lead technician role, managing maintenance schedules, or mentoring junior technicians.
• Active DoD Security Clearance Required
