Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to join our facilities management team. In this vital role, you will support the maintenance operations across our residential facilities, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing facility maintenance team to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other critical infrastructure, ensuring the efficient operation of a residential building.
• Supervise maintenance repair procedures, ensuring adherence to safety regulations such as OSHA standards and industry best practices.
• Oversee project management tasks including planning, resource allocation, and coordinating with contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or upgrades.
• Lead by example in managing facilities maintenance team effectively while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Work with Maintenance Supervisor to coach the maintenance team and monitor the team’s performance against community goals.
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair and troubleshooting.
• Experience using software to manage work orders and maintenance records efficiently.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
• Project management skills to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in residential buildings maintenance or equivalent, including proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliance repair, and general carpentry
• Ability to coordinate maintenance staff, prioritize work orders, and ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Experience working with contractors, vendors, and service providers to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
