Rocky Mountain Protective Service Inc. is hiring friendly, dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officers for recreation facilities in Commerce City.

This is a public-facing security position focused on customer service, observation and helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment. No law-enforcement duties are involved. Previous security experience is helpful but not required. RMPS will provide training and site orientation to selected candidates.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence at the assigned facility.

• Welcome visitors and provide directions or general assistance.

• Walk through assigned indoor and outdoor areas.

• Monitor entrances, common areas, parking areas and facility surroundings.

• Support facility employees with polite and respectful rule enforcement.

• Observe and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns or unusual activity.

• Help discourage theft, vandalism and other prohibited behavior.

• Use calm communication and de-escalation when situations arise.

• Contact facility management, police or emergency services when necessary.

• Use facility radios according to established procedures.

• Complete simple daily activity logs and patrol records.

• Complete an incident report when an incident occurs.

• Record attendance and shift check-in/check-out information.

• Cooperate with facility employees, emergency responders and law enforcement.

• Follow company policies, facility rules and assigned post instructions.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be dependable and report to assigned shifts on time.

• Must be professional, respectful and comfortable working with the public.

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain any required security license or certification.

• Must be able to communicate clearly in person and in writing.

• Must be able to use a mobile phone, email and basic reporting applications.

• Must be able to stand, walk and patrol indoor and outdoor areas.

• Must have reliable transportation to assigned work locations.

Previous security, customer-service, recreation, hospitality, retail or public-facing experience is preferred but not required.

Training Provided

Selected candidates will receive training and orientation covering:

• Basic duties of an unarmed security officer

• Customer service

• Courteous rule enforcement

• De-escalation

• Report writing

• Police and emergency-notification procedures

• Basic emergency first aid

• Facility radio procedures

• Legal limitations of unarmed security officers

• Facility rules and post instructions

Schedule and Locations

• Multiple shifts are available.

• All positions are onsite.
