McGregor PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a community-based service program that provides in-home healthcare services to the elderly as an alternative to nursing home placement, allowing Seniors to remain at home.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for performing general maintenance of the building, equipment, and its rental properties, including painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and repair work, acting as liaison with outside contractors and vendors, and maintaining equipment and supplies. inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect all building equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment and building electrical systems using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment and commercial appliances as needed using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Maintain and repair building HVAC systems using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Perform plumbing repairs on buildings and equipment using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Supervise the proper care and use of maintenance equipment.
- Monitor the automated building management system.
- Perform maintenance and repair procedures following facility policy.
- Painting inside of building as needed using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Repair cabinetry, doors, windows, and furniture using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Perform carpentry and masonry work using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Perform minor repairs to appliances.
- Perform minor telephone maintenance and repair.
- Program and maintain televisions with appropriate connections.
- Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled checks as assigned.
- Enter information and maintain all required logs in a neat, organized, and timely manner.
- Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
- Attend in-service training programs for maintenance employees.
- Complete assignments for all facilities through the prioritization of the work order system.
- Assist contractors with repairs and inspections.
- Maintain all maintenance areas in a neat and organized manner.
- Must be able to work flexible hours when needed
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of building maintenance experience.
- Competent with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to read, write, understand, and interpret written instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form to complete work orders.
- Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be customer service-oriented.
- Basic computer skills, advanced computer skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Code, a plus.
- Knowledge of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, a plus.
