Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment while supporting a variety of facilities maintenance activities. This safety-focused role helps ensure reliable operation of production equipment and a clean, efficient facility.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and related issues on machinery and equipment, and perform timely, effective repairs.
- Establish appropriate schedules and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery and equipment in the facility.
- Perform facility and building maintenance, including minor repairs, to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired components to restore proper operation.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, maintenance activities, and repairs performed on equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate work-related contracts and services, and make recommendations to ensure quality and cost-effective maintenance support.
- Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely and to specification.
- Participate in, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
- Demonstrate strong safety awareness and adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines in a safety-sensitive environment.
Essential Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Strong mechanical skills with a willingness to learn and grow in technical areas.
- College degree or technical certificate in a related field or technical discipline.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and contractors.
- Ability to read and basic understanding of blueprints and shop drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery and equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment and document all work performed.
- Safety-oriented mindset and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment in a safety-sensitive role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with automotive repair or car maintenance.
- Knowledge of vehicle engines and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools used in car maintenance.
- Experience coordinating with outside contractors for mechanical and electrical work.
- Understanding of Lean principles and willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial sheet metal manufacturing environment that supports major aerospace production. Work is performed in a facility with heavy machinery and mechanical equipment, where safety, cleanliness, and organization are essential. Multiple shifts are available, including first, second, and third shift schedules, with core shifts such as 4:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m.–1:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and 4:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. All new hires receive training on first shift from 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. for approximately 90 days to ensure familiarity with equipment, processes, and safety procedures. The environment requires appropriate industrial work attire suitable for a manufacturing setting, with a focus on personal protective equipment and adherence to safety standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
