Job Summary
We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician who's ready to grow into a Maintenance Manager role. You'll keep our property running — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and light remodel work — while building the leadership and property-wide oversight experience needed to eventually run the maintenance operation yourself. This is a great fit for someone with solid trade skills who wants more responsibility, not just another maintenance job.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical systems
- Handle painting and light remodel work (drywall patching, flooring, cabinetry, fixture upgrades) for unit turns and property upkeep
- Inspect the property for structural or safety issues and complete repairs
- Keep accurate records of completed work and service schedules
- Respond to on-call maintenance requests, including some nights/weekends
- As you grow into the role: help train and coordinate other maintenance staff, manage vendor relationships, and take ownership of the property's preventative maintenance program
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience in residential/multifamily property
- Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
- Experience with painting and light remodeling (drywall, flooring, fixtures)
- HVAC knowledge preferred; EPA/HVAC certification bumps pay up to $25/hour
- Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable being on call
- Interest in moving into a management/leadership role over time
