Position Summary
The Facility Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our manufacturing and warehouse areas. This position involves a variety of tasks, including floor maintenance, sanitation, waste management, and minor repairs to ensure a safe and pristine working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sweep, mop, and polish floors in manufacturing and warehouse areas.
Vacuum manufacturing machine stairs and access areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, lunchrooms, kitchens, and designated lab/office areas.
Ensure the cleanliness of interior and exterior windows and walls.
Monitor and restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
Maintain and replenish first aid supplies as required.
Remove and properly dispose of trash and debris, including the sorting of recyclables into dumpsters.
Position dumpsters for weekly pickup and return them afterward.
Address loose debris in parking lots and exterior areas, ensuring dumpster lids are securely closed.
Assist in breaking down boxes and sorting/disposing of packaging materials.
Perform minor repairs, including patching and painting of walls, replacement of light bulbs, and basic plumbing tasks.
