Our client is seeking a hands-on Manager of Facility Maintenance located in Charlotte, NC, for the Spectrum Arena
\n
\n
If you bring strong mechanical systems expertise and a proven track record in ice rink operations, this role was built for you.

What You’ll Own
\n
- \n
- Ice Rink Operations: Direct ice preparation, maintenance, and resurfacing to meet or exceed AHL/NHL quality standards.
- Building & Mechanical Systems: Oversee daily operations, preventative maintenance, and repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and event power distribution.
- Team Leadership: Manage, schedule, and train full-time and part-time maintenance technicians.
- Event Readiness & Safety: Serve as venue supervisor during live events, managing work order workflows, life-safety systems, and emergency responses.
- Capital Support: Assist with departmental budget tracking and capital project quotes.

What We’re Looking For
\n
- \n
- Experience: 5–6 years of progressive leadership in facility maintenance.
- Ice Expertise: Minimum 2 years of hands-on ice rink maintenance experience (Certified Ice Technician / CIT preferred) + proficiency operating arena resurfacers (Zambonis).
- Technical Trades: Minimum 2 years of experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Education: High School Diploma + technical schooling required; Bachelor’s/Technical diploma preferred.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on venue event schedules.
- Location: Charlotte, NC (Relocation-ready candidates welcome!).
