Republic Extrusions is hiring a Maintenance Hydraulic Systems Specialist to keep high pressure hydraulic equipment reliable and production-ready at our Megargel, TX site. This midlevel, onsite role supports uptime through fast, accurate troubleshooting and disciplined maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems; pumps, valves, cylinders, accumulators, proportional servo valves, high pressure lines
- Perform preventive, predictive maintenance and drive root-cause analysis on repeat failures
- Read and apply hydraulic, electrical, mechanical schematics and manuals
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues; support PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Use precision hand/power tools, pressure gauges, and multimeters; operate forklifts/overhead cranes as needed
Required qualifications/skills:
- 3–5 plus years industrial maintenance with hydraulic systems expertise
- Strong high pressure circuit troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Availability for Monday through Friday day shift with occasional overtime and on call emergency response

How Your Day Flows
You’ll start the day shift checking in with operations to understand the line’s priorities and any overnight concerns. From there, you’ll move between the press area and support equipment, verifying pressures, temperatures, and system behavior, then planning the smartest path to stabilize performance. Some days are steady, scheduled checks, documentation, and follow-ups after recent repairs. Other days bring an urgent call: you’ll assess the situation quickly, coordinate safe lockout/tagout, and work methodically until the equipment is back to a dependable state. You’ll close out by updating notes for the next handoff and preparing for occasional after-hours support when an emergency repair can’t wait.
