The Event Security Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and security at various event venues. Working as part of a dedicated security team, the officer carries out mixed security duties including fireguard responsibilities, crowd monitoring, and emergency response. This role requires vigilant access control, active patrolling, and effective conflict management to maintain a safe environment during events. Officers work rotating shifts and may occasionally travel to multiple event sites.

Eris Security Solutions Inc. is seeking professional, dependable, and alert F03/F04 Fireguards to join our growing team.
Our Fireguards are responsible for maintaining fire watch, identifying potential fire and life-safety hazards, maintaining required documentation, and helping protect employees, visitors, property, and client operations.
We are looking for candidates who understand that fire watch is a serious safety responsibility and who can remain attentive, professional, and prepared throughout their assigned shift.
Key Responsibilities-
Successful candidates may be responsible for:
- Performing fire watch duties at assigned client locations.
- Conducting regular patrols of designated areas.
- Monitoring for fire, smoke, sparks, unsafe conditions, and other potential hazards.
- Identifying and immediately reporting fire and life-safety concerns.
- Monitoring areas affected by fire alarm, sprinkler, or other fire-protection system impairments when assigned.
- Maintaining required fireguard logs, patrol records, and other documentation.
- Following site-specific post orders and emergency procedures.
- Maintaining clear access to exits, stairways, fire extinguishers, and other required safety equipment.
- Immediately reporting emergencies and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when required.
- Remaining at the assigned post and maintaining continuous awareness throughout the shift.
- Communicating professionally with clients, supervisors, contractors, employees, visitors, and emergency personnel.
- Completing incident reports and other company-required documentation accurately.
- Following Eris Security Solutions Inc. policies, client requirements, and applicable fire-safety rules and procedures.
Qualifications-
Applicants should possess:
- Valid FDNY F-03 and/or F-04 Certificate of Fitness applicable to the assignment.
- Valid New York State Security Guard registration when the assignment requires security-guard duties.
- Ability to provide required identification and employment eligibility documentation.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to respond calmly and appropriately during emergencies.
- Ability to complete written and/or electronic reports.
- Construction-site, fire-watch, security, event, or building-safety/any security experience is a plus.
Physical & Work Requirements:
Depending on the assignment, Fireguards may be required to stand or walk for extended periods, climb stairs, conduct repetitive patrols, work indoors or outdoors, and work around construction, mechanical, commercial, event, or other active environments.
Scheduling:
Assignments may include days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays depending on client needs. Applicants with flexible availability are encouraged to apply.
