REPORTS TO: CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER

STATUS: FULL-TIME (EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Facility Accounting Manager provides oversight, leadership, and support to the facility Finance Managers in our managed facilities. The job is rewarding, challenging, the environment is uplifting, and the responsibility is critical to our customers and the communities they serve.

This position will review financial activities and transactions of venues such as monthly financial statements, supporting the General Managers in the annual budgeting processes, oversight of financial reviews/controls/audits, performing high-level business analysis, and occasionally providing staff accounting functions for specified venues. This position will be responsible for dotted line supervision of venue Finance Managers in multiple facilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Supervise the overall closing process monthly; ensure books are closed accurately and all venue level financial transactions are performed in a timely manner
  • Support the venues in preparation of financial statements to ensure compliance with US GAAP, pro forma reports, and dashboards for review and distribution to management and clients
  • Perform financial analysis and investigate variances on financial statements for venues
  • Perform internal audits to assess compliance with financial regulations and controls by executing review/audit program steps; testing general ledger, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements; examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
  • Review all venue systems and internal controls for weaknesses; recommend changes as needed
  • Support venue Leadership and participate in the interview process for vacant venue Finance Manager positions
  • Train and develop newly hired venue Finance Managers
  • Create, implement, review SOPs and policies for venue Finance Manager related tasks to ensure compliance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Accounting
  • Previous accounting experience and supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with multi-location operations, internal audits and consolidations preferred
  • Proficient in financial management systems or/and accounting systems
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple projects on a routine basis
  • Strong management, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast paced environment

TRAVEL DEMANDS

  • Overnight travel to venues required estimated at 50% of time
