Position Summary
\n
We're seeking an experienced, highly motivated Facilities Capital Projects Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic capital projects across a growing aerospace manufacturing enterprise. Reporting to the Senior Director of Facilities & Capital Projects, this role owns the full lifecycle of capital projects — concept, quoting, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contractor management, installation, commissioning, and closeout — across equipment, automation, facility expansions, and infrastructure upgrades. The successful candidate will be a key leader in modernizing and expanding the company's facilities and manufacturing technologies while supporting operational excellence organization-wide.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Capital Project Leadership
\n

- Lead capital projects from initial concept through final implementation, including scopes, schedules, budgets, business justifications, and capital appropriation requests.
- Manage equipment acquisition (CNC machine tools, automation systems, material handling) and facility expansion, renovation, and production line relocation projects.
- Coordinate facility readiness for new equipment and processes — electrical, compressed air, HVAC, structural, utility, and controls integration — through installation, commissioning, and startup.
- Ensure projects hit cost, schedule, quality, and safety targets, maintaining detailed schedules and critical path plans.

Stakeholder & Contractor Management

- Serve as primary liaison between Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, Production, HR, EHS, Finance, Supply Chain, and executive leadership throughout project execution.
- Act as primary point of contact for contractors, architects, engineers, equipment suppliers, and consultants; develop RFQs, evaluate proposals, and negotiate scope, pricing, and schedules.
- Monitor contractor performance and safety compliance; lead status meetings and coordinate contractor activities.
- Coordinate with HR and department leadership on workforce planning, workspace changes, and organizational readiness tied to capital projects.

Financial Management

- Develop and manage capital expenditure budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Prepare ROI analyses, payback calculations, and business cases supporting capital investments.
- Monitor expenditures against approved budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, building codes, and company safety standards.
- Conduct project risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
- Support regulatory and customer audits, and promote a culture of safety among employees and contractors.

Qualifications
\n

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- 7+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in manufacturing, industrial construction, aerospace, or facilities — including multiple concurrent projects ranging from several hundred thousand to multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Strong contractor management and cross-functional leadership track record; aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents; strong financial analysis and project controls skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- PMP, CCM, or Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
