We're looking for a dependable, service-minded Porter who takes pride in maintaining a beautiful, safe, and inviting environment. As an important member of our community team, you'll help keep shared spaces looking their best while providing friendly, helpful service to residents, visitors, and fellow team members.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of community common areas, entrances, hallways, amenities, and other shared spaces.
- Perform routine porter duties, including trash and recycling removal and maintaining clean, orderly surroundings.
- Monitor the community for maintenance concerns, safety hazards, spills, or conditions that could impact residents, visitors, or team members, and report them promptly.
- Assist with light moving, deliveries, furniture setup, and other community needs as directed.
- Help prepare common areas and spaces for resident activities, events, and special occasions.
- Respond courteously and promptly to resident and team member requests.
- Maintain an organized supply area and notify management when supplies or equipment need replenishment.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
- Help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment that residents are proud to call home.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A positive attitude and strong commitment to providing excellent service.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high-quality environment.
- Friendly and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members across the community.
- Previous porter, housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, facilities, or senior living experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving supplies or equipment.
