Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled maintenance technician to join our apartment community team. The maintenance technician will be responsible for maintaining the property, completing apartment turnovers, and responding to resident maintenance requests.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and previous residential or commercial maintenance experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct unit turnovers for apartment community, including but not limited to painting, patch drywall, and replacing light fixtures.
- Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
- Ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and stand for long hours
- Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience
- Some knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
- Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends
- Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
- Must have a vehicle, preferably a truck with own tools.
