Job DescriptionPosition OverviewDevelop and oversee the execution of mountain bike trail and BMX track maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the regular maintenance of mountain bike trails and BMX tracksUse all safety equipment mandated in work areaAssist in the daily opening and closing of wheels program areasDrive trails on UTVs and bikes to ensure safe rideabilityKeep an accurate inventory of supplies and request more as needed in a timely mannerAssist in other wheels programs as neededModel the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+Required: 1+ yr. experience maintaining trails, tracks, or featuresAble to obtain the Summit Driving PermitWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and bike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
