Position Overview
The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure safety compliance and functionality. This role requires technical expertise in fire alarm systems and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install fire alarm systems according to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Test and troubleshoot fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Document all work performed, including installation, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects and resolve issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in installing and servicing fire alarm systems.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
