POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician I performs basic support tasks to assist maintenance technicians in repairing machines and equipment within the facility and warehouse. Their responsibilities typically include gathering and handing tools, changing fixtures such as light bulbs and faucets, preparing workspaces, and cleaning work areas and equipment.
\n
\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n
Completing minor repair work, which includes repairing doors, locks, door frames and handles as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass.
\n
Performing regular cleaning duties, which includes sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
\n
Inspecting control panels and electrical wiring to detect any issues that require immediate attention.
\n
Taking inventory of maintenance supplies and notifying the Supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
\n
Promptly responding to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
\n
Ensuring that all maintenance equipment is in good working order.
\n
Clean interior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment, and exterior of the building
\n
Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor
\n
Comply with all safety and health regulations
\n
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
\n
Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors
\n
Other duties as assigned
\n
\n
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
\n
This position has no direct reports.
\n
\n
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
\n
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus
\n
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment
\n
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents
\n
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
\n
May be required to work outside of normal work hours
