SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Heavy industrial cleaning in our Production areas.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
- Heavy lifting to include moving large equipment, industrial machinery, cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and machines to clean areas.
- Removes stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
- Sweep walkways, rake leaves, lawncare, snow removal and perform other seasonal tasks as needed.
- Gathers and empty trash.
- Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.
- Dusts furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Performs minor electrical repairs and replacement of light fixtures and related items.
- Performs minor to moderate-level plumbing repairs, replacements, and/or installations, including repairing leaks and removing clogs in sinks and toilets.
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Painting interior and exterior areas, use of ladders and floor cleaners.
- General maintenance to include replacing ceiling tiles, repairing concrete, servicing machinery as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform strenuous work requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, use of ladders and climbing.
- Minimum of 2 years custodial/facility maintenance work experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- Must be able to use and read a tape measure as well as other maintenance tools.
- Ability to work while standing for long periods.
- Can work successfully in a team environment and/or independently and able to take direction from others.
- Knowledge of proper building cleaning and maintenance techniques.
- Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, dust and noise.
- Must be able to read and follow multistep procedures and instructions.
- Must be able to work assigned shift and overtime as needed.
