Working Hours Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment across our manufacturing facility. This role is critical to supporting health and safety standards, reducing contamination risks, and ensuring an efficient workspace for all departments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and other facility spaces.
- Empty trash, recycling, and waste containers regularly and safely dispose of materials according to facility guidelines.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, including industrial work zones.
- Operate floor cleaning machines and other janitorial equipment (e.g., buffers, scrubbers, pressure washers) as needed.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and hygiene materials such as soap, sanitizer, paper products, and PPE.
- Support the upkeep of grounds, interior and exterior cleanliness, and overall facility appearance.
- Assist in moving equipment, furniture, and materials as needed.
- Report maintenance issues, spills, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE and handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Support emergency cleaning or clean-up tasks, such as spills or biohazard response, when required.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the Office, Plant, and Restroom facilities (this includes, but is not limited to personal office desks, machines, conference rooms and the break room).
- Communicate any out-of-stock items to the Purchasing Manager.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and Supervisor.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Qualification Requirements
- Speak, read, and write English.
- Successfully pass drug screen.
- Successfully pass background screening.
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience, preferably in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting.
- Have solid written and verbal communication skills that can be practiced at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to work with deadlines.
- Have good organizational skills.
- Have a precise attention to detail.
- Have an excellent sense of priorities and be a self-motivator.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical Demands:
- Stand, walk, push, pull, climb stairs and ladders, reach overhead and bend to the floor.
- Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
- Basic color perception, peripheral and depth perception, close vision of 20 inches or less, distance vision of more than 20 feet.
- Ability to monitor surrounding alarms and sounds to avoid equipment moving around the shop.
- Ability to understand and follow safety protocols, including chemical handling and hazardous waste procedures.
- Working Environment/Conditions:
- Moderate to high noise levels from operating machines.
- Physical hazard being exposed to moving equipment and machine parts.
- Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid.
- Heat/humid/cold weather conditions.
- Dusty environment.
- May be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
- May require working over-time and/or off Shift hours depending on company needs.
