The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing CNC mill machines. This includes replacing bearings, troubleshooting hydraulics, and performing electrical troubleshooting and repairs on 480 volt 3 phase motors. The technician will initially work alongside the Maintenance Lead for training and will eventually work independently to troubleshoot and repair CNC mills. When machines are operational, the technician will perform preventive maintenance to ensure machines are maintained properly.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC mill machines.
  • Replace bearings and troubleshoot hydraulics.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on 480 volt 3 phase motors.
  • Work alongside the Maintenance Lead for training.
  • Independently troubleshoot and repair CNC mills.
  • Perform preventive maintenance when machines are operational.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of machine repair experience, preferably with CNCs.
  • 3 years of hydraulic/pneumatic repair experience.
  • 3 years of electrical troubleshooting experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, particularly 480 volt 3 phase motors.

Work Environment

There are openings on the 2nd and 3rd shifts, with initial training on the 1st shift. Shift hours are as follows: 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm, 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, 3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Troy, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
