Role Description The Herbicide Applicator is a full-time, on-site role based in West Lafayette, IN. This role is responsible for safely mixing, handling, and applying herbicides to lawns, landscapes, and other outdoor areas, following all label directions and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting properties for weed issues, determining appropriate treatments, operating sprayers and other application equipment, and maintaining accurate service records. The Herbicide Applicator will also perform routine equipment maintenance, assist with general lawn and landscape care as needed, and interact professionally with clients to explain services and answer basic questions. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, proper use of personal protective equipment, and collaboration with the field team and supervisors to ensure efficient routing and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of lawn care practices and herbicide application methods, including safe mixing, handling, and use of application equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for measuring, mixing, and documenting chemical usage and service activities.

\n

• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including lifting, walking, and working in varying weather conditions.

\n

• Effective communication and customer service skills to interact respectfully with clients and coordinate with team members.

\n

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record suitable for operating company vehicles.

\n

• Relevant state herbicide or pesticide applicator licensing (or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe) is highly beneficial.

• Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, groundskeeping, or related outdoor maintenance roles.

\n

• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow safety procedures and company policies are essential.
