What You’ll Do

As a Handyman/Property Care Professional ( 1099 Independent Contractor), you’ll play a key role in ensuring our vacation rental properties are guest-ready and in top condition.

We are seeking an experienced property care professional to maintain our guest properties, inside and out. You will notice what needs attention, fix it properly, and know when a job calls for a licensed specialist. You will coordinate with our on-site housekeeping team and with the licensed trades and appliance repair companies we work with.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs to keep properties in excellent shape.
• Collaborating with local licensed trades to address more specialized needs.
• Ensuring properties meet high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly to maintain a seamless guest experience.
• Working both indoors and outdoors in varied mountain weather conditions.

Types of work (examples include)

• Interior repairs and upkeep: fixtures, fans, faucets, disposals, tile, hardware, filters, batteries, and bulbs

• Exterior and grounds: pressure washing, deck care and painting, outdoor lighting, gutters, grill cleaning, light landscaping, and debris removal

• Storm and seasonal needs: clearing downed limbs, seasonal appliance start-up and shut-down, and responding to wildlife-related cleanup

• Sourcing and installation: picking up parts and installing them

• Coordination: working with licensed electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and appliance repair companies, and keeping short notes and photos of completed work

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in property care and maintenance. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in property maintenance, hospitality, or a related field.
• Reliability: you arrive when you say you will, and you communicate clearly

• Initiative: when you see a problem, you take care of it or report it

• Your own tools, ladders, and a vehicle suitable for hauling materials and debris

• Safe, competent use of power tools, including a chainsaw

Strongly preferred qualifications:

• Journeyman electrician or plumber certificate.
• Experience maintaining cabins, lake homes, vacation rentals, or hospitality (apartment buildings/hotels) properties.
• Positive existing working relationships with local licensed trades.
• Ability to work on ladders, lift heavy objects, and navigate uneven terrain safely.
• A commitment to professionalism and respect for workplace policies
