Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Site Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of an upcoming 4-week project in Pounding Mill, VA area. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure the project stays on schedule, within budget, and meets TEC Electric’s safety and quality standards.
While this is a short-term assignment, there may be opportunities for additional projects in the surrounding area based on performance and workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to and from the Pounding Mill project site as required.
- Coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedule.
- Develop and adjust work schedules based on project timelines and site requirements.
- Communicate regularly with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve on-site issues.
- Enforce company safety policies and conduct regular safety inspections.
- Track project progress, labor, and materials; assist with maintaining cost control.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, and safety documentation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a construction coordination or management role, ideally within commercial or industrial construction.
- High school diploma required; Associate degree or construction management certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site drawings, and project plans.
- Proficiency with basic project management and construction software tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation.
