Job DescriptionJob Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Combo Technician with experience in fire alarm, security, and access control systems to support commercial and industrial projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale installations, upgrades, and service work across multiple job sites.This position is ideal for a well-rounded technician who is comfortable working in the field, traveling as needed, and interacting with customers while delivering high-quality installations and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm, security, and access control systems
- Perform system upgrades, device replacements, and new installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of low-voltage systems
- Diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Compensation ($30-$42 p/hr)
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications
- Additional compensation for licensed and certified technicians
- Travel pay and per diem (for traveling roles)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Fire alarm systems
- Access control systems
- Security / intrusion systems
- CCTV systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Experience in commercial or industrial environments
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Certifications & Licensing (Preferred)
- State-specific Fire Alarm License (where applicable)
- NICET Certification (any level)
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus
Note: Highly experienced technicians without current licensing may be considered depending on experience and project needs.Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in various job site conditions
- Ability to travel and work extended hours when required
