Location: New Holland Knowledge Academy Club

**This is a Full-Time Position**

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Directs and manages overall daily operations of the designated Clubhouse with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration. Oversee and implements the delivery of the 21st CCLC program. Works with lead teachers, tutors, and program staff to ensure collaboration efforts to help club members become great.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

Leadership

  1. Establish 21st CCLC programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
  2. Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
  3. Ensure implementation of 21st CCLC programing within the Club school site programs.
  4. Ensures orientation of parents and new members occurs on a consistent basis.
  5. Ensures quarterly parent meetings are held and quarterly parent surveys are completed.
  6. Manages, trains, and leads staff to the complete implementation of the 21st CCLC after school and Summer Camp Programs.

Strategic Planning

7. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate club overall programs, services, and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests as outline is annual deliverables for the 21st CCLC program. Complies regular reports dictated by 21st CCLC grants reflecting all activities, attendance, and participation. Conducts emergency drills as outlined by the 21st CCLC program.

8. Recruits enrichment activities to offer during the after school and summer camp enrichment programs.

9. Recruit, manage and provide career development opportunities for Unit staff and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings.

Resource Management

10. Manage 21st CCLC resources assisting in the development of annual budgets. Control expenditures against budget.

11. Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club and the 21st CCLC program. Ensure compliance with organization policies and standard operating procedures.

Partnership Development

12. Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations in conjunction with Director of Development – ensuring the Director of Development is aware of and approves partnerships and solicitations.

13. Develop partnerships with school day principals, parent coordinators, and school administration to retain a positive working environment.

Marketing and Public Relations

14. Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the Club and the community.

15. Works with the Director of Development to ensure all logos and literature meet approved Boys & Girls Clubs Standard.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment.
  2. Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.
  3. Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
  4. Assume other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explainorganizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide and receive information. Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise, and counsel.

External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents, andothers to assist in resolving problems and publicize Club.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Education:

  • Four year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years' work experience in a Boys & Girls Clubs or similar organization planning, and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people.
  • Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to recruit, train, supervises, and motivates staff.
  • Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
  • Skills in fund-raising events.
  • Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
