Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electronic Security Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electronic security systems at our commercial customer locations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom systems, and related low-voltage technologies. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, professional customer service, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling, including CAT5e/CAT6 and other security-related wiring.
• Install and troubleshoot:
• • Access control systems
  • CCTV/IP video surveillance systems
  • Intrusion alarm systems
  • Intercom and entry systems
  • Electronic locks and door hardware
• Program and configure security system hardware and software.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, floor plans, schematics, and system documentation.
• Maintain accurate service reports, installation documentation, and inventory records.
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and other technicians.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience installing or servicing electronic security or low-voltage systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and low-voltage wiring.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Basic understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, PoE, switches, and network-connected security devices.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and in confined or elevated areas when required.
• Ability to pass applicable background and employment screening requirements.
