Nyhus Enterprises is looking for a dependable and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to help maintain our equipment, building systems, and facilities. This position is a good fit for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting, and is comfortable handling a variety of maintenance and repair projects.
Monday through Thursday from 6:00am – 4:30 pm or 10:00am - 8:30pm
Opportunities for overtime on Fridays.
$25 - $30 per hour
Responsibilities Include:
- Inspect equipment and machinery to identify maintenance and repair needs
- Troubleshoot problems and determine the appropriate repairs
- Use equipment manuals and building blueprints when planning repairs
- Perform general building repairs, including drywall, painting, doors, and other fixtures
- Complete routine preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems
- Assist with maintaining clean, safe, and organized facilities
- Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
- Help develop, implement, and enforce workplace safety programs
- Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous maintenance, facilities, or repair experience preferred
- General knowledge of carpentry and building repairs
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in tight or awkward spaces
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
