Facility: Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center
Location: Hazlet, New Jersey
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday 9am -5pm every other weekend coverage
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Position Summary
Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The Maintenance Worker will work closely with the Maintenance Director and assist in maintaining the facility’s building, grounds, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Work closely with and follow direction from the Maintenance Director

Maintain the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition

Perform basic facility maintenance and repairs as assigned

Properly care for and maintain tools and equipment

Complete minor repairs on:

Handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings

Beds, wheelchairs, and Geri-chairs
-
Electrical equipment, generators, emergency lighting

Fire alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers

HVAC systems (including filter changes)

Assist with carrying, lifting, and stocking supplies

Assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Director

Ensure residents and families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate environment
Requirements
-
Nursing home experience preferred, but not required
-
On-the-job training provided

Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive feedback

Ability to properly use and care for supplies and equipment
-
Willingness to learn and incorporate new maintenance methods and practices

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including proper use of cleaning compounds
