The Multi-Family Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the upkeep and safety of multi-family residential properties. Supervised by the Maintenance Manager, this technician focuses on both routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to maintain comfortable and functional living environments for residents. The role requires proficiency with a range of maintenance tools and the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders efficiently. Limited on-call duties may be required to address urgent maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair work across multi-family properties
- Manage plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce emergency incidents
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests
- Handle apartment turns and unit remodels to prepare for new tenants
- Track and manage work orders using CMMS
- Use standard hand and power tools effectively and safely
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical systems and plumbing
- Experience with HVAC maintenance
- Skills in carpentry and painting
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance best practices
