Are you looking for an active, hands-on job with opportunities to learn and grow? Join our team as a Route Cleaning Specialist! This is an entry-level position, and we provide all the training you need to succeed.
As a Route Cleaning Specialist, you will help maintain office buildings and commercial facilities in a clean, safe, and welcoming condition according to the assigned job site scope of work. No two days are the same! You'll travel to different locations, support various teams, and gain valuable experience in commercial cleaning and facility services.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM **hours vary slightly depending over coverage needs**
Rate: $24.00 - 26.00 per hour

Specific Duties / Essential Functions:
- Cleaning offices, lobbies, and common areas.
- Cleaning and restocking restrooms.
- Empty trash cans around the property and replace trash bags.
- Cleaning corridors and stairwells.
- Removing trash, cleaning floors, dusting/wiping down all surfaces.
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
- Operating walk-behind floor cleaning machines (if applicable).
- Cleans and polishes furniture, windows, doors, frames, ashtrays, and fixtures.
- Restocking supplies in, bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Maintain janitor closet and janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
- Periodically cleans overhead vents and dust blinds.
- Proficiency in English will enhance your ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues and clients, ensuring smooth operations.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Floor Care Experience is a Plus
- GMP Micro Cleaner experience is a + plus
Requirements:
- Open availability: Overtime work and schedule adjustments may be needed/necessary. Holiday work may also be required.
- Applicants must provide proof of work authorization and complete an I9 and E-Verify process.

Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs, carry 12 lbs backpack vacuum, as needed.

Driving Requirements:
- Must complete pre-employment motor vehicle record check.
- Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license.
- Maintain a driving record that meets the standards of Pegasus' insurance carrier.
