Job Title: Manufacturing/Maintenance Technician
Work Location: Houston, TX (77054)
Duration: 12 Months contract
Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM–12:30 PM
Job Overview
Install, repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems across heavy mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain & repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on:
- Mazak (highest priority)
- Mazatrol
- Mitsubishi
- Siemens Controls
- Mori Seiki
- QEM
- Nagel TBT
- Perform unsupervised maintenance & repairs on NC and manual machines, including multi-axis lathes and mills.
- Complete preventive maintenance using checklists and written instructions.
- Assist with installation of new equipment.
- Report issues, follow procedures, and maintain required documentation.
- Prepare detailed maintenance reports; ability to train other technicians.
- Create preventive-maintenance checklists for operators.
- Attend toolbox talks and pre-job meetings.
- Follow all PPE, safety, and HSE guidelines; complete required safety training.
- Use required hand tools and automated/semi-automated tools.
Other duties may be assigned depending on operational needs.
Experience & Skills
- 5–10 years of maintenance technician experience.
- Strong multi-discipline troubleshooting: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic.
- Mazak field tech experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to clearly explain and justify maintenance requirements to management.
- Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, MS Teams.
- Forklift/scissor lift preferred (company can certify internally).
- SAP or Brady LINK360 familiarity is a plus.
- Fine electronics/soldering experience is a plus.
- Works with minimal supervision
