Join our team at The Center at Blue Hills, where we provide quality long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Director of Maintenance to oversee facility maintenance, manage daily operations, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure the facility is safe and well-maintained.

• Perform and supervise repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility improvement projects.

• Maintain plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire safety systems.

• Manage maintenance staff, schedules, budgets, supplies, and outside vendors.

• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, Life Safety requirements, and DPH standards.

• Prepare for inspections and assist with DPH surveys and Life Safety reviews.

• Oversee emergency preparedness and emergency management procedures.

• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and address facility issues efficiently.

Requirements

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire safety systems, and general maintenance.

• Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on with repairs and daily maintenance.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with DPH surveys, Life Safety inspections, and emergency management preferred.

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is a plus.

• Professional attitude and strong leadership skills.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday

• Minimum of 40 hours per week

• On-call availability required

• Weekends and holidays as needed
