Job DescriptionSenior Maintenance Technician | Phillipsburg, New Jersey
Full-time | Direct Hire

Shift: 12:30 PM – 10:30 PM | Four 10-hour shifts each week (closed Sundays)

Targeted pay rate: $27–33/hr depending on qualifications WITH amazing employee benefits (see below)

Kelly Engineering is seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our client's team. In this role, you'll support advanced robotics and automation systems by performing preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and helping maximize system uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on robots, automated systems, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the maintenance team.
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning, and deployment of new equipment and systems.
  • Respond quickly to equipment failures and emergency situations, escalating issues as needed.
  • Submit daily and weekly maintenance reports and coordinate closely with site team leaders to prioritize work.
  • Build strong relationships with on-site client leadership.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, customer-focused approach to maintenance and support.


What You’ll Need:

  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Slack, CMMS, and SharePoint.
  • Experience using multimeters.
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience.


Nice to Have Skills:

  • Exposure to robotics
  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling automation
  • Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or Scissor Lift


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely use standard hand tools.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work at heights of up to 50 feet.
  • Operate aerial lifts with a manufacturer-rated capacity of 250 lbs., including approximately 30 lbs. of tools and equipment.
  • Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to access equipment.
  • Perform overhead work requiring extended reaching and manual dexterity.
