Common Job Responsibilities
- Turf Management: Mowing greens, fairways, tees, and roughs using specialized power mowers.
- Course Preparation: Raking bunkers, moving tee markers, and changing hole locations.
- Landscaping: Trimming, edging, weeding plant beds, pruning shrubs, and planting new vegetation.
- Irrigation & Upkeep: Operating irrigation systems, repairing divots, and blowing debris.
- Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine inspections and light maintenance on mowers and hand tools.
Typical Requirements & Conditions
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50–80 lbs and perform heavy manual labor.
- Work Environment: Outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Schedule: Often requires early morning starts (e.g., 6:00 AM) and weekend or holiday availability.
- Experience: Entry-level positions may only require a high school diploma or GED, while senior roles may require 2+ years of turf management experience
