Summary


We are representing a reputable General Contractor actively seeking a skilled Superintendent with 5+ years of field leadership experience. This role is ideal for someone who has successfully led the construction of ground-up, core & shell commercial projects, including office, mixed-use, or institutional developments.

This position requires a hands-on leader who excels at field coordination, trade sequencing, and schedule management. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for quality, communicates effectively with subcontractors and ownership teams, and thrives in fast-paced environments where safety and execution are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations on base building projects, including structural, concrete, and MEP scopes

  • Manage subcontractors, foremen, and field crews across multiple trades

  • Coordinate all construction activities to maintain project schedule and critical path milestones

  • Conduct daily site walks and enforce high standards of jobsite safety and cleanliness

  • Lead coordination with project managers, architects, engineers, and inspectors

  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability

  • Conduct site logistics planning and oversee delivery schedules and material staging

  • Maintain and update daily logs, look-ahead schedules, and manpower reports

  • Assist with QA/QC inspections and punch-list completion through project turnover

  • Serve as the primary field point of contact for clients and internal teams

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of superintendent experience with a General Contractor

  • Proven background managing ground-up, base building, or core & shell projects

  • Deep understanding of building systems, sequencing, and trade coordination

  • Strong ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications

  • OSHA 30 certified; additional safety credentials a plus

  • Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and field documentation skills

  • Ability to manage large teams and complex sites independently
