Project Leadership & Coordination
- Lead day-to-day field operations and overall construction execution for assigned projects.
- Manage project planning, develop and execute the pre-job plan, and determine construction means and methods.
- Develop and maintain the Site Utilization Plan and coordinate equipment requirements with the Project Manager.
- Expedite vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis; identify and resolve construction issues as they develop.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost records and keep work aligned with the project schedule.
Safety & Quality
- Maintain and enforce project safety standards; monitor safety planning, execution, and documentation.
- Manage the project Quality Control Program and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional jobsite.
Schedule & Project Controls
- Review weekly labor reports and monthly total job-cost reports to identify areas requiring corrective action.
- Complete all required jobsite reporting, including daily reports, SOS reporting, weekly unit reports, two-week look-aheads, and monthly construction schedule updates.
- Drive corrective action when cost, labor, productivity, or schedule performance begins to move off plan.
Financial & Subcontractor Management
- Review monthly subcontractor payment applications to confirm progress is consistent with actual installed work.
- Mitigate potential subcontractor change orders and back-charges that may affect project profitability and document them appropriately.
- Close out assigned projects in compliance with contract documents.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 8-10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on municipal water and/or wastewater construction projects, including projects valued at $25 million or more.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment plant construction, pump stations, lift stations, rehabilitation, and related municipal infrastructure.
- Proven ability to lead field operations, subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, and project documentation.
- Working knowledge of labor productivity, job cost reporting, subcontractor payment applications, schedule management, and change-order risk.
- Ability to identify field challenges early, drive solutions, and protect safety, schedule, quality, and profitability.
