We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations of a skilled nursing facility in the Dayton, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on maintenance experience, and a thorough understanding of Life Safety Code requirements in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities

Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility.

Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and necessary repairs.

Maintain fire safety systems, emergency preparedness procedures, and required compliance documentation.

Prepare for and participate in state surveys, inspections, and Life Safety Code reviews.

Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.

Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, supplies, and vendor relationships.

Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and outside contractors as needed.

Respond to emergency maintenance needs and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications

Life Safety Code experience is required.

Previous maintenance experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or healthcare environment strongly preferred.

Prior maintenance leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.

Familiarity with state survey processes, fire inspections, and regulatory compliance.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
