Job Title: Industrial Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic

Pay: $37-$40

Hours: 2nd Shift 1pm-9:30pm Monday-Friday

Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will perform precision mechanical work, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support reliable production operations through preventative and predictive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, align, install, and dismantle machinery and equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, motors, and production equipment.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Apply millwright practices including equipment setting, precision alignment, leveling, and mechanical system installation.
  • Perform precision alignment of shafts, belts, and chains, as well as balancing and bearing replacements.
  • Perform rigging and material handling using hoists, cranes, forklifts, jacks, and related lifting equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to plan and execute maintenance and installation tasks.
  • Perform fabrication work as required to support maintenance and equipment installation activities.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience as a Millwright, Maintenance Mechanic, or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems including bearings, couplings, drives, belts, and chains.
  • Demonstrated experience with equipment installation, alignment, and mechanical system setup in an industrial setting.
  • Hands-on experience with rigging and material handling using hoists, cranes, forklifts, and jacks.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pottstown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.50 - $40.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
