Valleybrook Estates Condominium Association is seeking a dedicated full-time Maintenance Technician to join our in-house team serving a large residential community of 375 units across 63 buildings. This role offers year-round, varied work focused on maintaining and repairing residential properties and common areas within one location. You will play a key role in preserving the quality and safety of our community with strong attention to preventive care and hands-on maintenance.
This position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed for emergencies and snow removal. Starting pay is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance of buildings, grounds, and common areas
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, faucets, toilets, drains, and valves
- Handle electrical repairs such as switches, receptacles, and fixtures troubleshooting
- Conduct carpentry, drywall, painting, and general handyman repairs
- Inspect and maintain building exteriors, roofs, sidewalks, and paved surfaces
- Complete repairs inside residents’ homes as needed with professionalism
- Respond promptly to urgent problems including leaks, electrical failures, and storm damage
- Carry out seasonal tasks such as snow removal and storm cleanup
- Document all work performed and maintenance activities accurately
- Collaborate effectively with the maintenance team, contractors, and the Association Manager
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in residential maintenance
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and prioritize maintenance tasks
- Experience with safe use of hand and power tools
- Capability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow removal
- Professional and respectful communication skills when interacting with residents
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multifamily or residential property maintenance
- Proficiency in plumbing and basic electrical repairs
- Basic carpentry and building envelope repair skills
- Familiarity with drywall installation and painting
- Comfortable writing work orders, manual tracking, and mobile work order apps for maintenance management
